Planning Manager - Solar/BESS (including DCO work) - Remote - up to £65,000

Piper Maddox are working with a European Solar/BESS developer who are looking to add a planning manager to their UK team, this person would have direct reports within the existing team.

They have a total project pipeline of 3.5GW split across multiple large scale transmission, and multiple distribution projects as well. Plus a decent portfolio of solar + BESS due to go into construction across 3 sites.

They have a much more 'relaxed' approach to how they work. Everyone does quality work but if something goes wrong they won't play the blame game. They also have a great work-life balance, so if this is something your current role does not give it might be worth considering.

Another perk of this company is they are well funded and listed on the stock exchange so you'd be safe in knowing that projects will receive the funds to be able to see them be built out and operated.

Some responsibilities include and are not limited to the following:
Preparation and coordination of planning applications, including pre-application and EIA screening and scoping reports.
Policy research and evaluation.
Organizing and attending public consultation events.
Liaising and assisting with the wider team.
Liaising with external consultants, stakeholders, and local authorities.
Proven technical abilities and demonstrable knowledge and understanding of Planning and EIA/environmental legislation in the UK.

*Experience with renewable energy or DCO/NSIP projects is desired*
