Assistant Development Manager - Solar & BESS - £30,000-£35,000 DOE - Remote

Piper Maddox are working with a develop, construct, own, and operator of solar, and BESS assets. They are looking for a development manager to work on a mixture of JDAs; partially developed projects; and organic greenfield projects.

This company understand the need for that work life balance, and whilst they are happy for you to attend their office in the midlands, they are also happy for you to go once/twice a month and be fully remote. They have development managers across the UK so you will meet with them fairly regularly to ensure your professional growth continues.

People within this business have a great track record of staying within the business for a long time and not looking to move on, with people commenting that the way they are treated by senior staff has created a healthy work environment.

What would your role look like, and not be limited to?:
- Assisting on planning by preparing and submitting applications and also discharging planning conditions.
- Helping with the assistance of option/lease; HoTs; cable routes; LoAs; DoVs etc.
- Helping find new sites to develop on.
- Assisting on managing consultants outside the organization.
- Working with external stakeholders to ensure they are all happy and kept up to date with development activity.

What are the perks?:
- £6k car allowance, and EV salary sacrifice scheme.
- Well funded organization with sites already set up to go and be developed on.
- 25% bonus.
- High staff retention rate, and great company culture.
- 1.2GW pipeline being developed.
- Optional fully remote working.

This role would really suit someone who is at early stages of their renewables career and has an interest in doing development. If you are currently working another part of the life cycle and would like a change over you'd be considered for this position.

If this sounds like the right type of opportunity for you then catch me on my details below and let's talk more about it.

This role would suit someone looking for more autonomy within their work and not wanting an environment where they feel micromanaged, and can have a large impact in a growing team.
