Piper Maddox are supporting a leading Avionics and Engine provider for the Aerospace sector in finding a Flight Controls Engineer. The business was founded over 70 years ago and now has around 40,000 employees globally contributing towards the advancement of Aircraft technology. They work on a broad range of electrical systems and have over 70 locations across the world. This specific office that is looking to recruit a Flight Control Law Designer is focusing on developing products for the electric aviation space and working with some of the leading names in the eVTOL industry. It will give you a chance to start working on innovative and novel technologies for clean aerospace advancements.

As a Flight Controls Engineer, you will be:

* System and software requirements capture and definition with electric aviation clients
* Flight Control Law Design to meet outlined requirements.
* Simulation and validation of Controls Laws to make sure they achieve the desired outcomes
* Working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of novel technology
* Mentoring less experienced team members and colleagues

What we are looking for:

* Bachelor's Degree qualified in Aeronautical Engineering or related discipline
* Strong understanding and experience within Control Law design, ideally within Flight Controls
* Understanding of Systems Engineering approach with requirements capture and development
* Proficient user of MATLAB/Simulink
* Excellent communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders
* Passion for sustainable aviation technologies
* Ideally an understanding of Aerospace regulatory standards (DO-254, DO-178C etc.)

The business designs and manufactures single and double decker buses for companies all over the world, with a particular focus on developing fully electric and autonomous fleets. This is a unique opportunity for someone that wants to support the shift to fully electric vehicles with a number of leading companies across the globe.
