Piper Maddox has personally just been engaged in a confidential search, by one of the more exciting up and coming asset managers/financiers in the renewable energy sector, in support of finding their next Associate!

The organization was founded in 2023 by an industry leader who's already successfully founded, and managed several renewable energy ventures in the past, in partnership with a leading PE shop that exclusively deals in the sustainable infrastructure NA middle market. Being only 1/3rd of the way through their nearly $300MM fund to support sustainable infrastructure in the US, the investor is looking for this platform to be a primary piece of optimizing their return as they continue deploying capital.

The company looks to partner with small to mid-sized developers of renewable energy power generation, or sustainable technology, with high upside, but who are lacking the necessary resource to acquire the capital necessary to bring the assets to operation. The firm provides them with that growth capital, and works hand in hand with the company through the financing and development process to optimize operational efficiency and financial return, in exchange for an ownership stake in the project, portfolio, or company itself.

We are looking for an Associate, to play an integral role in the transaction and development process, by supporting the Principle on Development operations, supporting the finance teams with their project modelling efforts and analysis, and spear-head the origination of new project opportunities.

The ideal candidate would:

• Have 3-6 YOE in renewable energy project development, finance, or M&A (ideally exposure to all)

• Have an entrepreneurial mindset, and comfortability wearing many different hats.
