Our client are a subsidiary of one of the UK's top names in renewable energy generation, who have been a mainstay in the sector for close to 30 years. Having this wider business in the background provides a high level of stability in terms of finances and pipeline. This allows our client to focus on delivering high quality projects with the peace of mind that they will see these come to fruition.

You would be working on a pipeline of >1.5GW of projects in various stages of development. Our client has a strong track record of delivering on their project promises as a number of these projects are in construction and also in full operation. These projects can range from around the 10MW mark all the way up to ~100MW.

They are looking to add a Planner to their existing development team to help drive their pipeline through to planning consent and ready to enter the construction phase. As this company is full life cycle, your involvement would not stop there, as you would also be involved in the post-consent process in the construction phase.

Their planning team had an great 2024 and have already come out of the blocks fast in 2025 with securing multiple planning consents. This would be a fantastic opportunity to take on a high level of responsibility in projects within a company where there is an excellent culture of collaboration and support.

Your role would include:

> Managing the planning application preparation and submission process for both the local
and national planning systems.

> Coordinating external consultants on planning documentation, statutory consultations,
environmental considerations etc.

> Representing the company at public consultation events, statutory consultation feedback,
as well as liaison with local planning authorities.

> Contributing to the discharge of planning conditions to allow your projects to proceed
forward from the development phase into construction.

You would also have a high level of liaison with the wider land, development, and project design teams. You would have the opportunity to contribute of site feasibility, stakeholder engagement, and project viability matters throughout the development lifecycle.

This company are looking for someone to join the team with between 1 -3 years of planning experience and a strong understanding of the TCPA planning framework. Prior project experience in renewable energy would be ideal, and a wider understanding of NSIP/DCO considerations, s106, and s73 matters would be very useful.

You would be joining up with a very driven and ambitious team who are all working towards a common goal. There is a clear growth pathway for this role, within a company that value career progression very highly.
