They are seeking a talented Senior Manager of R&D who will lead the development and maintenance of the businesses entire R&D portfolio, and a team of 25 who executes that research. In this role, you will plan, direct, and execute R&D group programs in the creation, development, characterization, testing and delivery of battery/energy storage materials and technologies. You will also serve as the main technical point of contact with R&D group customers. Key Responsibilities: Generate and propose technical and programmatic (schedule and budget) solutions and R&D programs in response to government and commercial business opportunities. Generate and direct work plans, test plans, and work requests. Manage programs within budget and ensure on time delivery of project milestones. Present data and conclusions internally and to customers. Give papers and technical presentations at conferences. Author reports and other written deliverables for R&D programs. Piper Maddox is working with the winner of the UK's best newcomer in the Energy Storage awards 2023, to hire someone to own their BESS engineering function. As the first dedicated BESS specialist, you'll have the oversight and ability to shape this function all while being well supported by the existing leadership team.Atlantic Green have 500MW of BESS projects in construction, and pipeline for a 1.5GW operating portfolio in the next few years. They are seeking a talented Senior Manager of Cell Product that will direct the Cell Product Engineering team to design and develop custom rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery cells to meet challenging size, weight, power, and cost requirements as well as safety. The Senior Manager will lead the cell product development process including specification development, material evaluation and selection, mechanical design, product validation, and manufacturing scale-up strategy. Key Responsibilities: Generate and propose technical and programmatic (schedule and budget) solutions for cell development programs in response to government and commercial business opportunities.
