Piper Maddox is partnering exclusively with an fast-growing community and commercial solar development company that is making exciting and exceptional strides in the renewables industry. Their world class team has experience developing, owning, and operating all types of project sites from carports to ground mount sites.

They are investing in their team and are looking for an experienced and driven Project Development (Director, Manager, Sr. Associate) to help continue to grow their project footprint in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and New York. As the business and their portfolio grow you will have ample opportunity to build a team and make your mark in the industry.

Key Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience developing community scale solar projects larger than 1 MW in size.
  • Experience developing solar projects in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and/or New York.
  • Must have experience with the interconnection process for solar project.
  • Must be familiar with permitting process for renewable projects and have experience working with local jurisdictions and governments.
  • Added bonus if you have experience with tax negotiation.

With a strong focus community solar programs, distributed generation, and small-scale utility projects in the US. With a robust pipeline exceeding 2 GW in various stages of development and over 200 MWs of completed projects. They are now looking to add an Solar Project Development Manager to the team! Key Responsibilities: Negotiate site control agreements with landowners, ensuring efficient project progression. Coordinate with third-party engineering firms for due diligence and project deliverables. Navigate the interconnection process with utilities, tracking milestones and managing timelines and costs. Secure land use permits and approvals from Local Government Units (LGUs) to facilitate project development. Prepare projects for construction commencement in coordination with US Solar’s construction team. Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders including landowners, utilities, and LGUs throughout the project lifecycle.
