Job Opportunity: Director of Development

Location: Indianapolis, IN (Remote - 2 days per month in office)

Salary: $120,000 - $160,000 + 20% + LTIP

The Story:

We are seeking a skilled and visionary Director of Development to lead the development of large-scale renewable energy projects. In this critical role, you will oversee all aspects of project development, ensuring that each project is completed successfully while aligning with the broader organizational objectives. You will be responsible for strategic planning, project management, stakeholder engagement, and driving project success from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to drive project success, navigating complex challenges and aligning with organizational goals.
  • Lead and coordinate internal and external teams, manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, and oversee key permitting and regulatory processes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including landowners, community leaders, and permitting authorities, to ensure smooth project development and compliance.
  • Ensure accurate project tracking, documentation, and reporting in accordance with company policies.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Proven ability to lead large-scale projects and navigate obstacles to achieve success.
  • Strong experience in managing cross-functional teams and driving collaboration to meet project objectives.
  • Skilled at assessing risks and making well-informed decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with a wide range of stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Engineering, Project Management, Renewable Energy).
  • Extensive experience in project management and strategic planning, with a background in renewable energy or large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of energy markets, regulatory frameworks, and renewable energy policies.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple complex projects.
  • Flexibility to travel as required for project needs.
