Development Investment Associate - Energy - London - £60,000-£75,000 with a 40% bonus
Are you a Project Development Manager with a financial acumen looking to move across into an energy fund?
If so, Piper Maddox are exclusively representing a renewable energy fund on an extremely unique hire which would allow a project development expert to step into their team and oversee investment opportunities in their portfolio.
This role is brand new for this team so they are looking for someone who can step in and help advise on their approach to energy development, across both debt and also equity. This role will weigh massively on the DD of investments into developers and managing these investments past financial close.
What would your role look like?:
*Ensuring that all site activities and project deliverables are carried out to the highest standards of safety and in accordance with all relevant legislation across both debt and equity transactions
*Assisting the Portfolio Manager and investment teams with management of the existing loan portfolio including reporting and monitoring of Facility agreements
*Monitoring, and reporting on all phases of a project's life cycle across equity and debt.
*Looking at project risk.
*Developing and managing project budgets.
*Run financial models.
*Assist the Portfolio Manager with covenant testing for the debt portfolio
*Negotiating agreements related to project development.
*Regularly update projects in line with budgets.
*Working with externals e.g., planning authorities, community relations, statutory consultees, or landowners.
This role understands that they may not get a developer with debt and equity experience so are happy considering someone from a pure play development background with a keen eagerness to get involved with a major fund.
