About the Role:

As a Battery Modeling and Analytics Scientist, this role involves refining electrochemical models and applying data analytics to explore battery performance and degradation mechanisms. Working alongside a cross-functional team, this position shapes the future of energy storage by integrating cutting-edge modeling techniques and advanced analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

Battery Modeling: Develop and refine multi-physics and electrochemical models (ECM, P2D, P3D) for advanced battery chemistries.
Degradation Analysis: Model and analyze degradation mechanisms (e.g., SEI formation, lithium plating) affecting performance and longevity.
Data Analytics: Leverage machine learning and statistical methods to analyze performance data, identify trends, and drive product improvements.

Model Integration: Collaborate with simulation teams to integrate models for comprehensive performance predictions.

Experimental Validation: Design and conduct experiments to validate models, including cycle life testing and thermal assessments.

Tool Development: Contribute to real-time battery monitoring tools for diagnostics and predictive maintenance.

Collaboration & Documentation: Engage with research labs, universities, and internal teams for continuous model and method advancements.

What's Needed:

Education: Ph.D. or M.S. in Electrochemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or Physics.

Experience: 3+ years in battery modeling, particularly with lithium-ion expertise.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, C; experience with tools like COMSOL, GT-Autolion, and PyBaMM; and multi-physics modeling expertise.

Analytical Skills: Advanced data analytics, machine learning, and experimental data interpretation.

Soft Skills: Adaptable, collaborative, and flexible in a fast-evolving field.

Quality Assurance and Quality Control Manager - Solar Farms

About the Role In this leadership role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards across all aspects of our utility-scale solar projects. You'll manage a team of inspectors, overseeing their work in verifying the electrical, mechanical, and civil systems. You'll play a central role in documenting and reporting on quality checks, maintaining clear communication with site managers and subcontractors, and identifying and resolving quality concerns promptly. A commitment to staying abreast of the latest industry standards and best practices in solar tracker and fixed-mounted systems is essential. We will consider applicants located in any one of these states: Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina or Pennsylvania. Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of QA/QC inspectors Oversee inspections of electrical, mechanical, and civil systems at solar project sites Ensure compliance with industry standards and manufacturer specifications Develop, maintain, and organize inspection documentation Facilitate inspection walkthroughs with subcontractors and site managers Manage third-party testing and calibration services Support commissioning and post-commissioning activities Promote a safe work environment and adherence to safety protocols The successful candidate will be a passionate advocate for safety and quality, committed to staying up-to-date on the latest solar industry standards.
