Salary Dependent on Experience Level: £30,000 - 40,000
Piper Maddox are working with a leading international developer of renewable energy to add to their UK division. Our client has been active in the industry for over 15 years and has a presence in over 10 different territories worldwide.
This company are a fully fledged independent power producer, taking their projects from initial inception, through the development process, into delivery/project construction, finishing with an operation asset that this company will remain owners of, managing the asset for it's whole lifecycle.
This role would sit within their UK team which is one of their newer growing territories. This role would give you the chance to be a part of their growth plans going forward, and to progress your career alongside this growth.
In terms of technology, this company cover a wide range across the renewable energy sector, all at a utility scale. In this position, you would be working on Onshore Wind, Solar, and Battery Storage across the UK. As a Junior Project Developer, you would be contributing across the full development lifecycle.
Pipeline-wise, this company have a multi-GW portfolio of projects in various stages of active development across the UK and you would be working on a wide variety of these schemes. A number of these projects have accelerated grid connection dates so you can rest assured you will see your projects come to fruition.
Within this role, you will be supporting on a lot of different development activities. This would include, new project origination, project feasibility, planning application support, grid connection analysis, as well as external stakeholder management.
This would be a suitable role for someone looking for a role in renewable energy following university, or someone who is near the start of their career in renewable energy development. In terms of suitable educational backgrounds, degrees such as Environmental Science, Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering would be a good fit.
Skillset-wise, it would be very useful to have a strong understanding of the renewable energy development process, the constraints/challenges that you might encounter, as well as software skills such as GIS & AutoCAD.
